I finally got into STO: Legacy of Romulus the day after launch. First some patching issues, and then a login issue, prevented me from checking it out on launch day. That said, I have to say I really like the changes to the UI. It feels much more ‘Star Trek‘ than the previous UI. I also really like the new NPC interaction dialogs, with the animated screens. Really nicely done on Cryptic‘s part.

To demonstrate some of these features, I grabbed some video of the very first mission you’re assigned once you leave character generation for the Romulan faction. It’s got a nice little hook and some decent voice acting. I really enjoyed it. I”m looking forward to many more hours with STO: Legacy of Romulus.
