It’s too bad I only got one

Well, it’s done. Seems I wasn’t meant for just the sedation anesthesia. They ended up having to put me under general; something to do with needing help breathing. The doctor’s recommended I have a sleep study done to check for possible sleep apnea.

Apart from that, the wicked cotton mouth, and the ridiculous boot pictured above, all went well. I’m not allowed to take the bandage off, so no gross pictures yet. I’m hoping they’ll let me take pictures when I go in next week to have the bandages changed.

The only pain right now is tingling in the toes. They’ve given me some nice pharmaceuticals for the next few days and I am to take them regularly regardless of pain. I’m told they work better this way. I’m not happy about it, but such is life.

More to come later. So far I’m disappointed in the pain meds. I don’t have any pain, but I’m far from high. Pooh.

Definitely get the sleep study done. If you do have apnea, it makes a huge difference. I put it off for a couple years procrastinating and once I did it, wow, what a change in my life. More energy, better sleep, less problems for my wife who kept waking up either from snoring or from when I stopped breathing and she woke up in a panic. She has much better sleep, too.

But just do it.

Glad there are no gross pictures. It is to early and I am not fully caffeinated.
