Aw, crap … oh, whew
I hadn’t had pho for over a week. I know, I know … heinous! In any event, I was really looking forward to beefy soup goodness for lunch today.
I left a little later than usual and trucked on down to my usual place. As I pulled in I noticed a conspicuous absence of cars. To my horror the reason became quite evident as I pulled into my usual space, right in front of the restaurant; they were closed for remodeling.
A sign in the window proclaimed how sorry they were and that they would be re-opening their bigger and better doors this coming Monday, but that didn’t help my noodle need today. I pulled out, flying into traffic, and at first didn’t quite know what I was going to do for lunch.
My tummy, I think, had taken the wheel, because I suddenly realized I was headed towards the other pho place, that hadn’t been open all the times I had checked before. I decided to give my tummy the benefit of the doubt and kept driving in that direction.
My tummy knows its shit (yes, it gross, but damned funny).
Pho Viet Nam was open. Though the little man behind the counter seem quite surprised to have a customer (I was the only one in there), the service and food were awesome. I probably won’t make it my regular joint, but it’ll definitely be on the list for those times I’m closer to that part of town than I usually am.
In other news, it’s that time of year again and I’ve changed my Livejournal user name. It’s now tententacles. If you were on my friends list before, you’re on again. Please add me as you see fit; elcuervonegro will be going away soon.
In related news, I finally got posting working to Blogger, and so you will now find updated posts at my account there.
Now, Livejournal, Blogger, and Facebook all update from one place. How cool.
