Electronic hacks can get you punched

October 31st 2007 in Computing, Journal, Video

For whatever reason I’ve been poking through hack tutorials lately. No, I’m not trying to break into bank accounts or play a late night game of Global Thermonuclear War; I’m talking about the kind of hack where you take the laser from a DVD burner and make an actual, hand held, burning laser out of it. I also found out that they’re making a sequel to WarGames! How cool!

As for the remote jammer, I could definitely see making one of these! It’s been many many years since I’ve done something like that.

And DVD burner lasers are visible? Who knew? Holy crap! Now that’s a hack! I’ll bet it goes through batteries pretty quick.

Sorry for the double-post. Coding error. And, the first time, it couldn’t find the LJ OpenID server.

Total number of books:

I’m with Kelly on this one; you may as well ask how many breaths I’ve taken in living memory. I am never not reading. I am always in the middle of one book [...]
