Well, I promised I would post pictures tonight, and so I have. The one up there is the proof I promised of Maestro’s ribbing. Note the parenthetical name next to mine, on the name-tag outside my dorm room, for all the world to see. He also called me to the podium this evening, during orientation, with the same nickname. Ah, well. I supposed he wouldn’t tease me if he didn’t like me. Heh.

Day two and I am still not feeling much of any effect from the altitude. I expect to feel it tomorrow, when the real physical work begins. I have been hydrating like crazy, carb-loading, and walking a lot around the campus to acclimate. Hopefully it will pay off.

We were given schedules for the rest of the week tonight, and according to them I should have time to post each night. I don’t know how much I’ll post, but I’m going to try and make a point of posting something each night. I’m sure I’ll have more to say than just the “Wow it’s amazing here and I’ve been eating a lot,” that I’ve had to say the last couple of days.

… ten hours of foot work tomorrow. I volunteered for this. I should get to bed.
