Could it be? Has someone finally put these guys in a medium that will do them justice? Do my eyes deceive, or are there hints that someone may have finally gotten the characterizations right? Has someone finally taken this franchise someplace worthy? One can only hope. Check out the trailer, though, and judge for yourself. Oddly, I’m actually looking forward to it.

It looks good. I wasn’t a fan of either the books /or/ the animated show though.
My husband says that they definitely got the tone of the books right.

I have to say, “Do justice”? Wha? They are mutant ninja turtles? This is like the big uproar now over Metatron having flames on his truck in the Transformer’s movie - hello - wasn’t this entertainment for kids? Why are grown men now literally gnashing thier teeth over it? Hey, they turned Christopher Robin from Winnie the pooh into a girl but I didn’t hear a peep in blog world about it - I guess if it doesn’t have swords or guns - there is no childhood worth saving?

That’s like saying Batman is just a guy in black spandex! And as far as the lack of complaining about Christopher Robin being turned into a girl, I have pretty much given up on complaining about Disney butchering known classics. I, for my part, figured a complaint on that front would have been so much sound and fury, signifying nothing.
