Sunlight, falling on your steel…
Today, my thighs and knees are still killing me. Yesterday, I still had a hard time getting up after prolonged periods of sitting. Saturday night, as no doubt Corrie Ann, Ann Marie, and Cory will testify, I could barely walk. Why, you ask? Well, it’s all Maestro Alex Beguinet’s fault.
I truly do not think my legs have ever been put through such a workout before, and I was a varsity wrestler in high school. I’m thinking this is all just samples of things to come for coaches college, which is great because on top of the workout, I also learned a great deal.
Here’s a sample of what the two days of clinic I attended were like, learning wise. I do not think the pain and agony could be properly captured on film. Incidentally, this was the epee night of the clinic which is why the maestro is dressed in the heavier, almost full body coach's plastron and leg cover. In this snippet he’s discussing proper arm position for in-fighting.
