Ten Tentacles
So many arms, so little time.

To everything, turn, turn, turn…

So, a little over three weeks ago I was getting ready to, yet again, update some bit of software on my PC at home so that I could work from home on those occasions when I need to. This has been a common thing of late. I find I need another tool to do my job from home, incase I get snowed in or an emergency comes up after hours, and I have to go through this whole big thing to get a copy to install at home. Anyway, it struck me that it would be so much easier if I had a laptop at work instead of a desktop. Something I could cart back and forth and wouldn’t have to worry about maintaining two environments.

This was my old machine. Nothing to sneeze at. Good monitor, optical mouse, good keyboard, 3Ghz CPU. It was nice.

This is what I have three weeks after asking if it might be possible to get a laptop. I am more thrilled than I can say. It is way more than I expected and it only took me a couple hours to get all ported over.

It even came with this tiny, wireless mouse. I thought the mouse I bought for my iBook was tiny. This thing is microscopic by comparison. Happiness is a palm sized mouse.

I wanna know, why can’t this be love…

Fall is falling? In any event, I’m not sure how you would phrase it, check out these trees at my work. You can still see some green trees in the background, but Fall is clearly here.
