Don’t go down to the water’s edge, she said to me…

My finger is healing. It’s at least well enough now that I can type normally. It’s not well enough, however, that I can apply the kind of pressure needed to set the time on my clock radio. This is an activity I have had to engage in four times in as many days, due to high winds and lightning on my little hill. It’s not swollen or black and blue anymore, so I know it’s well on it’s way, but I’m fairly convinced I fractured the phalange. I didn’t go to a doctor though. I kept an eye on circulation and immobalized it. That’s all they would do. The nail is still growing so I’m certain that’s a good sign.

This weekend I’m tackling our bog. Yes, yes…we have a bog. I’ll put up some pictures soon. It’s our pool. I winterized it so it wouldn’t crack during the freezes and I am just now getting around to cleaning it up for summer. I really let it go. It’s to the point where there is a colony of frogs living in it. I’m going to have to get in there with my rubber boots and get them out. I don’t want any of them getting sucked into the impeller of the pump I’ll be using to drain it. Should be loads of fun! (shaw, right).

Looking forward to the three day weekend. I haven’t had a break from work in a long time. It’ll be nice. I plan to get everything I had slated for this weekend done tomorrow. This way I don’t have to do jack on Monday. We’ll see how well my plan goes. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow, so at least the weather won’t hold me back. Wish me luck.
